Dragon Boat Paddle
Best Decorated Dragon Boats

The dragon boats are not racing but are using the Bruns River for training purposes. Most of them dress themselves and their boat to add to the fun. The dragon boats will arrive at Terrace Park at 12pm as a flotilla, ready for judging. How spectacular!

Summerland Credit Union Live Music Program
Join us at the Soundshell from 11am until 3pm for live music performed by talented local musicians who generously donate their time to add to the atmosphere at Terrace Park as you enjoy yourself with family and friends while you wait for the presentations. We are very grateful for their time, skills and energy.

BrunsGYM Health Club Fitness Challenge
Once again BrunsGYM Health Club will be running a series of fitness challenges for you to participate in. Not only will you pick up some fitness tips, or just show off to your friends, you will also be eligible to win fitness vouchers.

Australian Marbles Championships practice sessions
The Australian Marbles Championships will be held at Terrace Park Soundshell on Sunday June 9, 2019. Show your style at the practice sessions to be held at Terrace Park on Paddle Day. There will be marbles available and compacted sand rings of various sizes for the different events:

  • Australian Marbles Schools Challenge Event – targets primary schools who can enter multiple teams of 2 players in a knockout competition.
  • Australian Marbles Junior Championship (6 – U13 years ) – a singles event in knockout heats. Any primary school student can enter.
  • Australian Marbles Open Championship (13 – 102 years) – singles event, There will be a circular marbles table for people who can’t kneel on the ground, targeted at seniors and wheelchair players.

Let’s Go Surfing SUP Clinic
Local surf school Let’s Go Surfing also provides stand-up paddle lessons. Come along to their free SUP clinic at the north end of Terrace Park, near the road bridge. Have a go. It may change your life!

Mullumbimby Comprehensive Health Centre Duck Race
Buy your number for a rubber duck to compete in the annual duck race on the Brunswick River from the road bridge to the footbridge. Tickets are $5 and are available from the three Paddle beneficiary groups: Brunswick Marine Rescue, Surf Life Saving Club and Visitor Centre – UNTIL SOLD OUT.

Summerland Credit Union Chalk Art
Summerland Credit Union will be running their Chalk Art competition. There will blackboards and chalk for the kids to create a masterpiece. Their work is then photographed and loaded onto Facebook, where friends and family “like” their creations. The winning Chalk Art will recieve a $100 Summerland account.

The Terrace Espresso Bar Jumping Castle
Aussie Bouncin’ Bites will again be at Terrace Park with their jumping castle for under twelves to interact and have fun bouncing around. What young kid does not enjoy a jumping castle?

Community Food Stalls
Each of the three Paddle beneficiary groups will operate a food and drink stall at Terrace Park, concentrating on different types of food. This is also where you can buy raffle tickets or duck race tickets.

Information Tent
There is an information tent where you can find out anything you need to know about the Paddle. It’s also the centre for lost property and sales of t-shirts ($20) and stickers ($2).
